Browsing by hierarchy

Browsing by hierarchy lets you find items using a folder-like structure similar to Meridian Enterprise and Windows Explorer. Each Explorer object type: documents, object tags, and projects can have a different hierarchy. When you find the documents that you are looking for, you can save the current view filter for later reuse.

Note    The hierarchy view does not show any project copies of documents or of object tags.

To browse by hierarchy:

• In the ribbon menu, click Search and then in the ribbon, click Hierarchy. The hierarchy tree for the current view appears.
  • To open a folder, click the expand icon .
  • To close a folder, click the collapse icon .
  • To view the contents of a folder, click the folder icon or the folder name. The results list refreshes to show the documents that are contained in the selected folder.
